1965 Porsche 911

The 911 offered has an amazing story as many beloved Porsche do. This 911 Coupe is chassis no. 2470. It was manufactured at the Stuttgart factory on Weds Oct 6th, 1965, then was shipped to Harper Motors of Charlottesville where it was sold locally to a local programmer with the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAQ). He drove the car regularly to his workplace before it was sold to a couple in 1992 who enjoyed the car for the next 20 years. The current owner purchased this 911 in 2013 and has made sympathetic restoration efforts while preserving the original patina when possible. Wearing its original combination of Polo Red and Black leatherette upholstery, it has been a successful concours participant, winning the "Best of 50th Anniversary Award - Porsche 911" in 2013 at the 29th Classics on the Green Concourse de Elegance. Accompanied by a Kardex and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirming matching engine and transmission numbers, this early 911 is now available for the next care taker.

For your consideration $145,500
